4 cups cabbage, shredded with a grater or thinly sliced 1/2 cup mayonnaise 2 tablespoons vinegar, example: cider vinegar 1/8 teaspoon black pepper 1 medium apples, sliced thinly 1/2 teaspoon celery seed, (optional)

- In a medium bowl whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar, pepper and celery seed if using. Add apple slices.
- Add to shredded cabbage and toss gently until coated.
- Cover and chill about 1 hour for flavors to better combine.
